Maternity Boudoir Photography with Bedhead Boudoir
Are you expecting a baby or know someone who is?
Let's talk about maternity boudoir photos!
Maternity boudoir photos were not invented when I was pregnant. Ok, I'm sure there was someone out there who had photos taken of their belly when they were pregnant, but maternity boudoir was definitely not "a thing." And you know what? I'm pretty sad that I don't have cute pictures of my pregnant belly. We're done having kids and I don't plan on ever being pregnant again, so i won't have beautiful photos to show my children of when they were in utero. Sure, I have some snapshots of my pregnant self, but I wish I had some beautiful portraits to cherish now that my child-bearing years are over.
But for you lucky women who are pregnant now, maternity boudoir photos are here! At Bedhead Boudoir photography, we love having expectant moms in the studio. That whole thing about a "pregnant glow" - it is true! Pregnant ladies look fantastic (and a little help from our talented hair and make-up artists doesn't hurt either!). We love capturing pregnancy in all its glory!
A couple reasons you should consider boudoir photos if you are expecting:
1) Boudoir photos will capture a moment in time that will never be repeated. Even if you have another baby, you will never be pregnant with THIS sweet little one again. Seize this fleeting moment!
2) A photographer who specializes in boudoir will be able to fully capture the beauty of your pregnant self. Boudoir photographers know how to pose, select wardrobe and light your body in ways that will be the most flattering.
A few things to consider:
1) If you are already pregnant, you should book your photo shoot NOW. Sure, you may only be a few weeks along, but getting you on the calendar now will ensure that you get the time slot you need. You'll want to have your maternity shoot at just the peak time: when your belly is cute and round, but before you feel like you're about to burst :)
2) Don't be afraid to bring a variety of outfits. You don't have to wear only lingerie! Some great options include things like: an off-the-shoulder maternity dress, cut-off shorts and a t-shirt, or a robe.
